Horrible customer service:
I recently took part in the night helicopter tour of the Las Vegas Strip on Friday December 8th and was very disappointed with the service I received.

I was told that a shuttle bus was to pick myself and my traveling companion at the rear valet parking of the Monte Carlo at 6:15pm. We arrived at 6:05pm to ensure that we did not miss our shuttle bus to the airport.

By 6:30pm our shuttle bus had not shown up, so I phoned to make sure that we were at the correct entrance and that our tour was not cancelled without notification. We were told that it was not cancelled and that sometimes buses get stuck in traffic along the strip.

After another 10 minutes of waiting for our shuttle bus we phoned again to find out what was going on and were told that Heli USA called our hotel to inform us that our pick-up time had changed to 5:45pm but since we were not in our room, Heli USA chose not to leave a message.

We ask what was going to happen since my credit card was on file and I did not want to be charge for a tour I was going to miss. The response I got was we could either pay for a taxi(out of my own pocket) to get out to the airport and Heli USA would delay our flight, or we could not go to the airport and still pay the $188.00USD anyway.

We finally managed to get Heli USA, with the help of the Las Vegas Tourist Bureau, to reimburse us for the taxi fare once we arrived and they would hold the flight for us. This made up slightly for the confusion but still did not make me very happy about the tour company.

We grabbed a taxi and headed out to the terminal for our flight. Along the way, our taxi driver got lost and ended up on the wrong side of the airport. While we were turning around and started to head in the correct direction I received a call from Barb at the front desk with Heli USA wondering where we were.

I informed Barb that our taxi driver got lost and we should be arriving in approximately 5 minutes. The response I got from Barb was that “she is not paying for our taxi fare if we decided that we wanted to take a tour around Las Vegas in a taxi”. I kindly explained to her that we had gotten lost and were on our way and that was the bottom line.

She then continued on about the length of time it should have taken us to get from the hotel to the terminal and that we should have been there and she is no longer paying for our taxi fare. I then explained to her that we are NOT taking a tour of Las Vegas and honestly ended up getting lost and will arrive within a couple of minutes.

Once we FINALLY arrived at the correct terminal, the women at the front desk(which I assume is Barb) charged us the total cost of our tour trip and basically threw $20.00 at me for my taxi fare.

As a partner in the travel and tourism business, I am very disappointed in the service myself and traveling companion received on this tour and will no longer book Heli USA unless this situation will be rectified. I have advise other agents in the office of this situation
