During the early 1950s R.G Homans son, Robert Wilson Homan, joined the company fulfilling various duties including lumber buyer. In 1964 the Homans acquired property at 1650 W. Lusher Avenue in Elkhart and constructed what is today known as Homan Lumber Co.
