Over promised and under delivered:
Had a great experience with Titus who set us up and had us taken care with professionalism at first. He wasn't pushy or rude, and provided answers without trying to up sell. His big seller was that tile is cut perfect and will result in even grout lines and other places won't have that upside. Wel we got the tile, we were shorted a box, and go figure some of the pieces were chipped out of the box, and not all of them lined up evenly as he claimed they would. There were also issues with what we were told for install- I wanted a morning start and he said they would be there about "10 or 11 because they pick up materials first". I was okay with that however it was not the case. I called them several times for updates- Stephanie said it would be by noon latest when we called first. Well noon came around and no one- we got the excuse that they are to stop at several places for the material, which should have been planned for by the company when they sold and set up our install. Then she said the sales person should have told us it's between 9 and 12- we were NEVER told that otherwise we would have planned accordingly. I then called at 12 and was told it would be closer to 1230. Then got told 1, then it was 1:30. Needless to say the warehouse does not plan well and sales are literally focused just on trying to sell- not ensure they deliver on promise. At 1:30 when they arrived they were great, prep work was done and they were fast with getting started and ripping up carpet. I wish they would have covered the furniture but that is a lesson learned for next time. So far installers hve been great, I can tell where some of the tile is definitely not cut well because it doesn't line up flush with other pieces in the box- so disappointed in the sales pitch from Titus. His reference to his 2nd class demo pieces was clearly a sales pitch that we fell for- of course what he has set up in store will be what he's trying to sell you on.
Currently the issues is trying to get a detailed invoice- it's like pulling teeth. I've been asking for a break down of labor, supplies, taxes, and credit card fee (some merchants allow this- others do not). My big concern is that it can be used for taxes and so I want the information provided professionally and the emails we are getting are very blunt and not at all professional. Once that's settled I will be posting those emails as an example of the attitude you will receive after they have your money.
Basically the sales side is a disappointment, tile is nice but don't buy into the whole 2nd rate demo piece, and be sure you get all the boxes ordered. Will also update how that is handled.
Installers we have are from dluxe and they are fantastic.
