Il Bambino

We opened the doors of Il Bambino in December of 2006. After many years of traveling, making our way through the casual tapas bars of Northern Spain, and the more simple, yet sophisticated, cafés of Italy, we felt it was time to begin a new chapter in our lives and open our own café.

Panini "addicts" rave about the "beyond-crispy" bread and "right ratio" of "fantastic ingredients" within in the "hearty", "bargain"-priced pressed sandwiches at this "rustic" Astorian with Italian and Spanish leanings; factor in "impeccable service" with "zero pretense" and a "cozy" back garden, and it's a neighborhood "must try."

Paninis and other sandwich crafts mingle with pastries and baked goods.

Italian cafe in Astoria lets diners bring their own beer or wine to complement the assortment of antipasti, tapas, panini and crostini.
