Immaculate Heart-Mary Church

Since 1950, Church Immaculate Heart Of Mary Inc has been providing Catholic Church from Liverpool.

Our family had been founding members of this church since the early 1960s. My mother never missed ONE donation envelope, NOT ONE! My mother volunteered for the church for 25 years, doing the ironing of the purificators etc. When my father took ill, the church NEVER checked in on my mother to see if she needed any help, where she had been, or just to say hello. I actually called from Florida to alert them to the situation and still nothing. BTW, she was still sending in the envelopes every week, much to our disgust. When my mother passed, we made arrangements with the church to have Father O'Hare (sp) at the cemetery for a blessing. My mother had outlived all of her friends, so it was a small service. We were surprised to see a man arrive in crumpled khakis and a washed out golf shirt show up. Where was the priest? The man gave a blessing although many of his accounts of my mother were incorrect. She was probably looking down in anger with the way this gentleman was dressed! We phoned the church to speak with Father O'Hare and were NOT impressed. He came off as a self-important buffoon. He was condescending, rude and dismissive. Much to our surprise, we heard the same account from others in the funeral business. It seems to be a pattern for this priest. My mother, after all of the years of her faithful service, got disrespected at her own funeral. That just says it all. This only solidifies my disgust with the Catholic church. As long as you are giving the cash...they are fine. Just don't expect any Christian comfort or help in your time of need, unless you are paying for it! We ended up decreasing our "donation" to the church for the service. We donated it to my mother's favorite charity, the Humane Society! If you are a true Christian following the beliefs of our savior, find a church that walks-the walk. IHM is a far cry from that! Disgusting!
