On March 5, 2016 I purchased a 2007 Mercedes Benz CLS550 from Import Auto Brokers. When I first saw the car on Feb. 27th the check engine light was on, I checked the code and saw P0015. Charles and Fred said that it was against the law to sell the car with the light on and that they would fix the problem before selling me the car. After a couple of days Charles called and said the car was fixed. So on that Saturday morning on March 5th I drove up there, expecting to just sign the paperwork and drive off with my car. Instead Charles said the car needed to be driven around so that it can pass emission. I ended up driving the car for about 6 hours going back up to the dealer about every 2 hours but it still wasn't ready to pass. They assured me that it just needed to reset, so I signed the paperwork and drove home without the car. So that Monday on the 7th of March; Charles called and said the car was ready and that he was going to drop the car off at my job. Once Charles got to my job he stated that he ran over something and he wanted to check to make sure everything was ok with the car. After about an hour talking to someone from the dealer, he said that a pipe just got stuck under the car but everything was fine. That Wed. March 9th I called and text Charles and said that the car had warning lights coming up "Stop car too low". I got no help from the dealer even though Charles was at fault. I spoke with Fred the manager and he said to use my warranty. So after spending most of my money on the car I was forced to get a rental car until the car was finished being repaired and pay the warranty deductible of 100.00. Fast forward, I get the car out of the shop and within the week the check engine light comes on again. After check the code I realize that it's the same code from before I purchased the car. Took it to my repair shop and they informed me that the car was never fixed and that dealers and repair shops reset the car to get the check engine light off; which is called auto fraud. I called Fred on the 21th and told him that the pre existing problem had not been fixed. After not hearing from him in a couple days I finally got an answer on the 24th. Fred wanted me to take it to his shop for a second opinion. Dropped it off on the 25st of March at the shop. Since then I have had to rent another car, now we are going on week 2 of me renting a car and to make matter worse my car payment is due on the 19th of April. After not hearing anything from neither the dealership or repair shop, I decided to call. I called the repair shop first only to find out Fred is still trying to use my warrant to fix the car and keep in mind the warrant only covers $3,000 a year which Fred said the finance guy sold me the wrong warranty and he was fired for doing this to other customers. I spoke with Brain at the repair shop who stated that the car could have been finished but they are waiting on Import Auto also my warrant that they tried to use won't cover the repair work. As of today April 6, 2016 I have still not received my car back from the repair shop, I have spent hundreds of dollars on rental cars, gas and warranty deductions for a car that I have yet to drive for more that a week and my first payment in due on the 19th of April. I have been very respectful to all parties involved but haven't been shown the same respect. I am a single father of 3 daughter but due to the evil and deceitful way of this dealership all of my extra money goes to the rental car, Import has ruined my daughters spring break because I can't do both. As your reading this you have to be assuming that Fred and Import Auto would do something to make this right. But they haven't.
