I've been running for several years and been fit at several different running stores. Of all of them, this was my worst experience, ever.

The salesclerk barely knew anything. She lacked basic knowledge about biomechanics and pronation. She didn't even look at the wear pattern on my old running shoes. She simply selected some shoes for me to try and go run up and down a short hallway.

After 1 pair of shoes, she got busy with another customer and paid me no attention. After putting on another 2 shoes, of which only half were even the right size, I got up and left.

I expect running store staff to have some training. If I just wanted a pretty gym shoe, I would have gone to a sporting goods store, not a running store.

Avoid Instep, their sales staff doesn't know anything about running and biomechanincs. This was the worst experience I've ever had getting running shoes. Will avoid this store in the future.
