abuse of the elderly:
Hidden institutionalized abuse and violation of elderly and disabled rights: If a family member hates you, and wants to commit a hate crime, all they have to to is call Interim Health Care In-Home Services, and have their Staff block you from being able to call or visit your loved one, with out giving the injured parties, i.e. the loved one who is receiving In-Home Health Care Services, or the family member who has been illegally blocked, or any other family member who is aggrieved by the situation, their rights to have any say, or have legal aid to stand up for them.
So the rights of the elderly and disabled are effectively blocked and barred, no recourse is given, no judge to hear both sides of the story, no legal help for the victims, just systematized institutional control and violation of the rights of the elderly and disabled, based on prejudice. My parent was refused her right to have any say that her own child was illegally blocked from being able to visit or call her, b/c of an abusive family member hell bent on revenge. My abusive family member had their evil way, and Interim Health Care Services Staff joined in on the violation of rights, causing psychological torture, grief and sorrow. They took away the rights of an aging parent who was suffering from Alzheimer's to see or speak to their own child, with out asking the parent's permission.
Then instructions were given to Interim Health Care Services In-Home Health Care Staff by my abusive family member, to call me twice a day, and record the calls!!! There was a call log kept by the abusive family member, who violated my parents and my rights, and the recorded calls were logged, as well as two days when one of the IN Home Health Care Workers assigned to care for my elderly parent, refused to violate my rights, and that of my parent, and refused to call b/c she knew the calls would be recorded!!! Another violation of rights, and entrapment!
Other people in my family were frustrated, and greatly grieved by this horrific institutional abuse and violation of rights, but no one was given any right to say anything, and no legal help, no recourse for the victims, no one to stand up for victims rights, no one asked if my parent agreed!
My parent was greatly aggrieved, and sorrowful about this, it actually aggravated her Alzheimer's condition, b/c it was abusive to her and she could not understand why, or how they could do this!!!
But since she had Alzheimer's, they would not give her any right to what she wanted, and she wanted her child to be able to visit and call her!
She said "there is nothing I can do, they have taken away my right to say anything," and kept asking me "why can't you come up and visit me or call me?"
They caused this horrible grief, stress, and psychological torture, not only to an aged parent who has Alzheimer's, who was helpless against this systematized and institutional abuse, and to me, and to other family members who were greatly aggrieved by the situation, but could find no recourse, no one to help and could do nothing. They will face God on their judgement day like everyone else
