After self diagnosing my external hard drive's failure, and realizing I couldn't fix it myself, I decided to call around to get my "free" quote and pricign. When I called Certified Data Recovery/IT Data Recovery my search came to an end. Thomas answered my call at 11 AM Saturday morning. I explained what "I" thought the issue was, he explained their service and what he'd have to do to truly assess the failure and accepted my need to drop off my hard drive that day. Thomas was awesome to work with through this scary time for me where I thought all data was lost (pictures, music, and other misc files)! He is so knowledgeable in this field of data recovery, but was able to speak to me so that I could understand. He made me feel that there was hope in getting back the data I thought I lost. I dropped off my external hard drive on Saturday and had my data recovered by Monday morning!!! Before even working on the drive, he explained what the issue was that caused the failure, asked me if I wanted to proceed, and after hearing the fair quote (which was VERY good compared to what other places were outrageously going to charge me) I authorized him to proceed. When I picked up my old and new external hard drives, Thomas offered me suggestions and pointers on what I could do in the future to help ensure I don't have the same situation happen to me again. I've now implemented his suggestions. BUT if this hard drive failure ever happens again or if family or friends have it happen to them, I am quickly going to recommend calling Thomas! I know my data will be in good hands if Thomas is working on it! He's good. He's quick. He's fair. And he's honest. Thanks Thomas!!
