Dishonest bully:
Said no fee but when she couldn't persuade me to do more than buy wallpaper, said I owed $350 for consultation. 75% of the time was her complaining of her leg injury, other clients, mutual friends, and her two sons.
I paid when she said she'd also help with a countertop (which she said I had to change). Shouldn't have trusted she'd honor her word, because after two months of waiting for her ideas, she sent a bill for her time and "services".
Claimed she spent over 17 hours. Really? It takes a seasoned designer over 17 HOURS to find a countertop to match a wallpaper?? The manufacturer only has 100 patterns!!!
Meanwhile she ordered wallpaper samples, even though I told her what paper I wanted. Said she was "doing it for [me], to ensure [I would] "be satisfied". Because she continually talked about all her connections and getting me awesome deals, I assumed the sample was free. Well, last day she was here, said I owed $47. I don't know why I paid her. The paper had been discontinued so we'd never gotten the samples. Better question is why did SHE CHARGE US US??? She was never billed.
She tried to talk us into window treatments and redoing other rooms -- actually told us our home is "outdated". Wow! How professional is that?? We said no and her reaction was to send contract and invoice. Who sends a contract AFTER the work is done? The invoice was an Either/Or invoice. Either we hire her to order and install the wallpaper, or pay for 17 hours of her time at $175 per hour. We chose neither.
Then the harassment began. Nasty emails, texts, and calls to our home. After I wrote my reviews she threatened to sue me for defamation of character. Her husband, who isn't affiliated with the company, chimed in.

Buyer beware:
BUYER BEWARE! I feel Christine Estep owner of Jackson Thomas Interiors Williamsburg, VA is a very DISHONEST and SHADY CHARACTER. She lied to me on multiple issues to get a deposit, then did not remotely honor what she had said. I now have had to file suit to get my deposit back! HORRIBLE!

Painter who was hired to paint one of their projects was newer paid in full and asked to correct somebody elses mistakes.
