Worst of the worst:
Let me start by saying, this was the worst business I have ever dealt with. From customer service to the actual work performed, it was a total joke. I brought all components to be installed to JC Motorsports.
Alpine Head unit and Imprint processor, Head unit, front component speakers, Mono amp and 4 channel amp, Drop in Subwoofers into installed enclosure
When I picked up my truck Joe told me all of my boxes and stock parts were in the back of my truck. Noticed my my front kick panel was missing a nut. Owner Joe, tells me quote “no problem, when we get another truck in like yours well take it off and give it to, that’s what we do” end quote. When I got in the truck the subs had no sound coming out. Joe blamed it on the Imprint processor. I assumed he knew what he was talking about since he was an Alpine authorized dealer. Over the course of the next week, I ran the software for the processor trying to get the subs to work. I spent about 14 hours trying different settings. After spending about 2 hours with Alpine on the phone, the tech guy narrowed it down to the subs being out of phase, meaning wired incorrectly. So I removed the subs from the enclosure and the wires were falling off from using incorrect sized clips. After being sure this was the problem, I called Joe to bring my truck back in the fix the problem. He was too busy that day and said to come in the next day which I did. I had the back of the truck opened up, carpet pulled back and subs out. All they had to do was wire the subs correctly. When I got there, he said he was too busy to look at it. After having an aggravated discussion with him about fixing his bad install, he got the truck in. Joe was sure it was my voice coils being bad, not his shoddy work. In about 15 minutes the subs were working, one of the other installers knew what he was doing and wired them correctly. Joes tells me he wired them the way the instructions said on the box. I could have done that. So basically, he just hooked them up and sent the truck out even though there was no sound. Over the course of the next week, I realized that my stock head unit wasn’t in the box of parts and two of the seat mount bolt covers were missing, so again I called them up. They said, “yep, we have the head unit, its sitting right here behind me”. I would think a phone call would have been nice to let me know. So another trip out to get my head unit. While I was there I told Joe about my missing covers. He says they were missing when I brought the truck in. Sounds like they used my truck to give replacement parts to someone else. Like Joe said, that’s what they do. I said I would check again when I got home but was sure they were there. I called them the next day and one of Joes workers answered. I asked them to replace the covers being they should be pretty cheap and they wouldn’t. I told them to have Joe call me. He did and got belligerent on the phone and told me I was a J@!%!*s. Nice way to do business. Completely screw up an install, lose or steal parts, try to blow off a customer when they need you to fix your mistakes and then curse at them.
Since then a friend of a friend had his stereo and speakers installed and has been back out to Joes shop twice with problems. He has a hissing noise coming from the speakers that Joe blamed on the head unit. And now today his back speakers just went completely out and he is going back out to try and get that fixed.
