We recently had JH Basement finish our 1400 sq ft basement. We had finished two bedrooms, one master bath, one 3/4 bath, a double-sided wet-bar, home theater and work-out room. The process was professional and timely. There were no additional charges, the work process went smoothly, a lock box was placed on the door so we did not need to be be present or bothered with the comings and goings. We had our home appraised directly after construction and the appraisal increase was for more than the basement cost. We are able to recoup our total investment. Joe, his sons, as well as all the contractors, were clean, courteous and very professional. I would highly recommend Joe Hannah and JH Basement Finish.

Joe and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We had a ranch style home with an unfinished basement. The space was only partially dug out so the square footage to work with was small but Joe didn't hesitate to come out and meet with us. He was very professional, friendly, and helpful in giving us ideas on how we could best use the space. After taking measurements he came back the next visit with his design and quote for the job. We even decided to alter the original plan he drew up by keeping more storage space and Joe was very flexible in re-working his design. Joe's two sons did a lot of the framing and they were great guys as well. All of the people that came in i.e. electrician, plumbing, drywall, etc were very courteous and hard working. We were anticipating quite a bit of disruption and noise during the project but actually we hardly noticed the work was being done. I would highly recommend J.H. Basement and Joe personally to anyone looking to finish their basement area.

Joe spent the time needed to ensure that all the finishes were exactly what we wanted, and was more than patient with several more requested changes as the project progressed.  We are incredibly pleased with the finished result of our basement and we have received numerous compliments from house guests as well.  In the end, we ended up with a great theater/multipurpose room with built in projector screen and speakers, wet bar and bathroom with many custom finishes, additional kids play area, and sizable guest bedroom.  I highly recommend JH basement without hesitation, and will be happy to be a reference for anyone considering JH basement for their future basement project.

When I went to finish my basement I had a lot of reservations… am I going to get my investment back? How much money will it take to do it right?
What design/layout to go with? Will it match the upper levels? How painful will the process be - managing contractors, dust/mess, cash flow?

As such, I shopped 3 different companies. I ended up going with Joe and JH basements. I couldn't have been happier.
Joe showed up with a very personal approach. He helped me through the design based on my needs and put the right living space together.
More importantly - he walked through the upgrades that would really make it classy, match the upper levels of the home, and allow me to get the return
I needed on the investment. Joe uses steel framing and as such - there was virtually no mess. He was very conscientious of his work environment
and provided almost no interruption to our daily lives. The proof is in the work -
We truly enjoyed the space he created and everyone that we entertained was blown away with the customization.
Well…our plans changed. Normally - in such a quick time after finishing a basement you'd be stuck with the costs when trying to sell your house…
well, I just listed my house and according to the realtor and buyers- the basement was the selling point.

I had 14 showings in 9 days - in which time I sold my house for 98% of the asking price.
Recouped my entire basement investment and really enjoyed it the 2 years we were in it
