Know Before You Go: If you want help direct from the owner, D.J. Riordan is your man--for now. In a few years, you'll get the store's namesake. Riordan, a corporate retiree, opened the shop five years ago so that son John (in his 30s now) could eventually take the lead.

I have nothing but praise for Johnny Sprockets. I was taking the kids to the bike trails on Saturday, but realized the night before that we had a flat on one of the bike. I dropped the bike off as they were closing and a young worker, embarrassed I forgot his name, fixed the flat "johnny on the spot".
