I took my Jeep in for inspection and they failed it for the two stars on the windshield under the rear view Mirror. They wanted to charge me $450 to install a new windshield, so I decided to have a safelite auto glass replace it at my office for $200. When I took it back to get it checked and have it stickered they charged me for a complete new inspection. I could understand if it had been weeks in between, but it was the very next day. I looked into the inspection laws in PA and even called their support line (18002650921) and there is no law that sets a time limit. It is up to the garages discretion as to how much of a grace period they want to extend. They did tell me that the state recommends 10 days. Clearly Johnson and Flick wanted to take me for a ride on my windshield and when I told them no they tried to hit me up for another inspection fee. I said no thank-you and took it to another mechanic.
