"Hip parents with hip kids" head to this "beautiful" Brooklyn store for the kind of "adorable", "quirky" toys "you won't find elsewhere"; many of the offerings are "handcrafted" using environmentally sustainable practices, and the "friendly, welcoming" staff makes you feel as if you're in a "small museum", or at the very least a "very special shop."
The rapidly beautifying Boerum Hill was bound to have a French bistro pop up sooner or later, and if Jolie is the only one to spring up, its impressive wine list and delicious selection of entrees would keep the neighborhood satisfied just fine.
Très jolie indeed. Upbeat Boerum Hill bistro with nice flow from petite front bar to sleek dining room to leafy back yard. Serves French classics like croques monsieur and madame, diversions like steak tartare au cognac and venison with yam purée. Keep an eye on the daily specials. Good brunch option, especially on warmer days when the windows open and the light pours in.
