Im not very computer literate so i was worried about being taken advantage of. I found out when i took it to another very expensive company (*cough* geek sqaud *cough*) that my computer was toast and that i lost everything and would need a new computer. i went to get another opinion at kenputerguru and they found out it was just a bad hard drive. They were able to save all my company documents and contacts (as well as my daughters first birhtday party pics!) and get my system running again. They were honset when i asked them what exactly they did. Although I didnt really understand all the computer mumbo jumbo, they were really nice and explained to me very slow so an old lady like me could understand. Took my computer in for diagnostic, and next day Kenputer called and said motherboard was possibly bad, and they wanted to buy my computer for $75.00 for ram, screen, keyboard. I said no as it was 1 years old and rarely used, and I wanted another opinion. I picked up my computer and immediately took it to another computer company for a second opinion. They removed my ram and said the one ram was bad! I saw the ram, and knew it was not the ram that was in my computer the day before, as my husband and I had removed it and checked it out before taking it to Kenputer's. Our ram was bright gold and new, but now this ram was faded, old, and bad. Kenputer had told me the ram was good in our computer, and I suspect that when we decided not to sell our computer to them, they figured that we would not know if they took out our ram and replaced it with older/bad ram. Ram costs $100 to replace in my computer. I went back to Kenputer, and they did not give me back my ram, but instead replaced it with more dull, faded 'bad' ram, insisting it was the original ram, and saying maybe it went bad from the time I left their shop until I had it checked by the second company 30 minutes later. Bad company.....not honest....
