AVOID THIS COMPANY!
We hired this company to replace our cabinets, backsplash and various other things.
Hiring John (owner) has turned out to be a disaster.
They use JSI cabinets which have been compared to cheap out of the box cabinets by every contractor that we have gotten quotes from to rectify the problem. They all ask me if I put them together myself?
Almost all of the cabinet doors are warped. Also, some of the shelves and a couple of the cabinets themselves are warped. The paint on 2 cabinets is starting to peel and John ordered the wrong size cabinet above the refrigerator and tried to blame me!
We could tell right away that that the doors are warped by looking at them and by measuring them.
John tried to tell me that you cannot measure a door or cabinet to tell if it is warped. I had numerous contractors tell me John is wrong.
John had denied that that they were warped until we FIRED him, then he changed his mind. Then he stated that they need to be adjusted, but his crew tried to adjust them numerous times and they were still warped.
John then stated that the doors would (miraculously?) straighten themselves out within the next 11 months. This statement has been disproved by many contractors.
We asked him to remove all of the cabinets since we were not happy with them and he refused.
The great molding that he was going to put above the cabinets was a 3/4" cheap piece of wood that looks ridiculous and adds nothing to the aesthetics at all.
John did not want to order a new half-susan for my corner cabinet wanting to use my 20 year old one instead.
John did not care about any of our concerns. When we told John that we did not want the corner cabinet and the extra 3 drawer cabinet, it wasn't what we ordered, he put them in anyway. He did not care about what we said. He just said that's the way it should be. John also called me "asinine" for wanting the job done right. WHO IS PAYING WHO?
The warranty for all changes is only through Kent Kitchens so since I FIRED Kent Kitchens I have no warranty and have to pay for all new doors and cabinets that need to be replaced myself. John never mentioned that he was a JSI dealer.
Every time we questioned something John always blamed everything or everybody else. Nothing was ever his fault. He even stated that I was the most difficult customer he ever had. AGAIN WHO IS THE CUSTOMER HERE, ME OR JOHN?
We also asked about adding glass to the cabinet doors and John stated that we needed to supply the glass for the doors our selves. John also said that we needed to use my half susan in the corner cabinet because JSI did not have a product like that.
John LIED!
After looking on the JSI website and calling JSI, Laslo (from JSI) stated they do sell glass doors and half-susans.
John and Mike (his worker) are two of the biggest liars I have ever met. Neither can be trusted for anything. Except maybe a poor job with sub-standard cabinets.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!
