La Bodega Brings Dominican to Seattle, Starting Today!:
Today's the big day for La Bodega, a Dominican-style (mostly sandwich) shop that has been on Seattle's culinary radar for more than a year. Manu Alfau opens the doors of his tiny Pioneer Square eatery just in time for folks to flock to the counter for his signature puerco asado (roast pork) sandwich for lunch. La Bodega, Juicebox Announce Opening-ish Dates:
Kari Brunson and Brandin Myett say the new permanent home for their pop-up juice shop, Juicebox, will officially open to the public the week of November 11, with a soft opening planned the week prior (that would be next week). The 25-seat cafe is taking over a former interior design space at 1517 12th Ave. on Capitol Hill. Until now, Juicebox has been operating out of La Bete on weekends.
