I have been here twice - the first time I had the beef bourginon and it was awesome. Last week I went here and had the entrecote and it was horrible, and the French onion soup is too sweet. Ummm, if you are dying for French food, maybe there's somewhere else around here. I'll give this place one more shot before I totally close the door on it.

This "cute cafe" in Culver City's Helms Bakery complex is a find for "basic", "low-cost" French fare and pastries ("oh those Napoleons!") in "large, pleasantly airy" digs with a patio; a few detect a little "attitude" amongst staffers, but otherwise it's a "reliable" "neighborhood" option.
