Latin American Club

One of several Mission circuit bars which attracts a young, open-minded and festive crowd. The Latin serves hard liquor and tap beer only, with two people-watching window seats, a long bar, a pool table, and an array of deco kitchen tables for socializing. The bar accepts cash only, but there is an ATM at the nearby Wells Fargo on 22nd Street at Mission.

It's easy to move tables and chairs together to seat a lot of people. There's even an elevated table on the otherwise-unused stage to make you feel like the king of the space.

Not terribly Latin American, but faded piñatas hanging from ceiling are a gesture, at least. Entire wall papered with screaming political statements in red and black. Early evening brings vinyl geeks from Aquarius Records around the corner drooling on latest Japanese imports.
