I had a very negative experience at Legacy Travel. I went to see them about a Jamaican vacation for my husband and myself and spoke with Cathy. She was both rude and condescending. Our exchange was quite brief. I had done a fair amount of research prior to visiting Cathy and was looking for an expert opinion on the resorts that I was considering. She did not have an opinion on any of the different options, or any option in Jamaica at all. I had one resort that I was leaning towards more than the others. When I asked her what price she was able to find for my vacation, she asked what price I had been able to get. She then told me that she could match any legitimate price (she stressed the word legitimate), but would not be able to beat the price I stated - without even looking! When I asked her why she was so certain, she said "because I have been in this business for 20 years." This woman was beyond offensive and should not be working with people. Had she been a capable travel agent, she might have mentioned that prices do fluctuate and had advice for me in this realm. Maybe she would have even checked her computer. Since visiting Cathy, I found the same package for $450 less. Do not waste your time with this unpleasant agency!
