Lenz Winery

Since 1978, Lenz has remained a small craft winery dedicated to a "high touch" in producing rich boutique wines that have consistently received high-praise by industry experts over the years. The winery, located on Route 25 in Peconic, offers an estate selections of wines; Old Vines wines such as a 2002 unfiltered cabernet sauvignon and a 2007 chardonnay; and new releases, from gewürztraminer...

This iconoclastic winery enjoys pitting its wines against top international pours in blind tastings, and critics are often generous with their praise. An enclosed courtyard flanked by old vines leads into an old barn, now a large tasting room. Tours are held only in February and March.
