Leo's opened its doors in 1948 at 211 State Road in Bristol, Rhode Island. Its original name was Leo's Pizzeria. Leo Mancieri, a 50 year old no nonsense man who had been a saloon manager for many local establishments, decided he wanted to work for himself. If you ask many of the older locals they would describe this intelligent hard working saloon owner as civic minded and a community leader....
