My son is 19 months old and started at Little Angels a week ago. We came from a very loving daycare that was a little pricey and a little far, and were hoping to find another loving environment for our son that was more affordable and closer to home. Between these, we tried another local center that was very structured and not a perfect fit for us. We were really hoping Ms Jenn would be “the One” for our little guy and were excited after meeting with her. Unfortunately, she turned out to be horrible. Every day at drop off, I noticed all of the children were sitting at the table, doing nothing. I just figured this was part of their daily routine and they were getting ready for an activity of some sort. After speaking with my husband, I found out that whether he picked our son up at 12, 4, 4:30, 5, or 5:30, the kids were sitting at the table. Doing nothing. I don’t know many toddlers, but I can’t imagine many would love sitting at a table, quietly doing nothing in a room full of toys, books, crafts, etc. He didn’t really have a choice either, as he was strapped into his seat. To alleviate my concerns, I asked Ms Jenn this morning “what do they do at the table?” She said they’re getting ready to start. I told her, “It seems they’re there whenever we drop off and pick up” to which she sarcastically replied “Yeah, they sit at the table all day.” I told her to give me back my kid and all his stuff and she told me I was being mean. You’re right. I’m mean when someone gives me a smart response when I inquire about my child’s day and well being. I don’t think she should be watching any kid if she’s going to get her feelings hurt when a parent questions her methods or asks what the kids do while with her. Her response still has me furious. Also, I told her she was being an a-hole after she told me I was mean, so I guess she was right. But Ms Jenn also needs to remember that she’s being paid for her services and needs to be respectful to parents who are concerned for their children. Maybe she spends too much times with kids and doesn’t know how to talk to adults.

I really appreciate the sense of security I feel leaving my child at little Angels. Miss Jenn is amazing with the kids!
