December 2011: I've had difficulty finding a place to get my hand saws sharpened. Finally I looked up reviews here and I called a few places for estimates. One place wanted to charge $20 apiece (what?!). Another one charges $10. I started to think that it doesn't pay to sharpen a saw any more - might as well buy a new one (ridiculous!). Decided to try Master Repointing based on price (under $5 apiece!), convenient location, and the fact that the guy seemed like an honest old hand at it. I took my saws in, met Wayne, and saw his little machine shop. He's been doing this since the 1970s. He charged me under $5 apiece to sharpen my two hand saws and had them ready within 24 hours. He provided friendly, professional old-fashioned service and only charged me an old-fashioned price. This is one of those times when a gamble I've taken turned into a great find.
