A "longtime resident" of Rego Park, this circa-1959 fishmonger fields a "wide selection" of "fresh", "unfussy" seafood in "big", "nothing-fancy" digs; "fast" service and "quite reasonable" pricing keep it "always crowded."

For over sixty years, the Barnes family has gone from fish and chips to having the best seafood in the borough, making it one of the best in the city with its daily selections of fresh, local seafood and a raw bar, as well as a wine program that has been awarded two years' running by the Wine Enthusiast and by Wine Spectator for five years.
