Co-owner Eileen Leslie, who renovated the building, is a vegetarian, so expect meat-free dishes on the menu like confit tomato and beet gazpacho, wild arugula salad and housemade torn pasta.

It's a small space, so arrive on the early side for timely seating.

Lot 1 is housed in a trapezoidal space with black concrete floors and dangling red conical lamps. Tan walls host different art every month, and sidewalk diners welcome shade from massive umbrellas. Chef Josef Centeno has left the restaurant, so expect a different menu at this Echo Park eatery.
