A great community tavern/restaurant:
Michael and John opened MJ'S less than a year ago and have been making a name for themselves in the Norfolk community as a great tavern and comfortable restaurant since then. From Grandparents to Grandchildren you'll find just about everyone here. Although gay owned this is truly a community place and usually a mixed crowd is present. They have a computerized "Juke Box" and a pool table, dining room and bar area. It is a non- smoking building and very comfortable. The food is Creative American with generous portions (try their soups they are delightful). Sunday Brunch is both breakfast and lunch/dinner foods at a reasonable price. Lunch and dinner are served Mon-Sat. Then after 9PM light fare is available and a more Tavern atmosphere is present but it is still comfortable and easy to hang out in. They are flexible with dietary restrictions if asked nicely (I can't eat wheat for example) and they have always welcomed me with my Service Dog without a fuss. I had my birthday party there recently and although we required multiple checks the wait staff handled this without any problem. They also handled our needs gracefully and left all of us feeling well cared for. You must give them a try. Tell them Remi the Service Dog sent you. :D
