Main Street Music

Main Street Music is a new studio in Mullica Hill, NJ, offering violin and piano lessons. Our private lessons are individualized to fit your needs and goals. The instructors are experienced and hold Bachelor's Degrees in Music Education. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Our comfortable studio space has a baby grand piano, recording capabilities, and a free public parking lot. Recitals are held in the fall and spring. I started piano lessons this year after nearly 45years! I had taken 8 years of lessons in my childhood but never kept it up. I always wanted to take lessons again but was anxious about starting back up after all of these years. I'm happy to say old dogs can be retrained with the exceptional help of Eric Aldrich. He is extremely patient with my old brain so it's quite obvious he works well with all ages. I love being able to read music again and I'm even starting to gain some long lost rhythm! 've had the privilege of having lessons with Todd for the last several months, and my understanding of the fretboard has really taken off. Todd is masterful at every element of the guitar--he's attentive to hand positioning, fingering, adjusting acoustics with the pick hand, anything you can possibly imagine to enrich your sound and technique...he understands and teaches tremendously well. Todd understands and conveys theory effortlessly and in quantities that work for you, dialing it up or down depending on what you want to work on. He works a great blend of review from prior lessons and new items in each session. Very patient, warm, as good a person as a teacher. There are moments in lessons where you just hear something and want to go solo for a bit, and he lets you--that's pure joy, when you feel your hands creating what is in your head. Knowing that Todd can see that kind of percolating in you and will let you go says something about his love of the instrument, his passion for teaching and helping others create, and a keen understanding of what music and playing means to people. As a person who teaches for my job, I have a particular appreciation for his approach in that regard. I'm extremely pleased to be improving my playing with someone like Todd!

Eric has been teaching my six and half years old child for two years. We are very pleased with his progress. Eric is a great teacher. He is patient, engaging and encouraging and at the same time has expectation of my child to learn and practice. We highly recommend Eric to anyone who is looking for a teacher.

I hired Main Street Music to play a formal event this past month. The band was great. Everyone was dancing throughout the night, and singing along to the music. Eric was always very professional - answering emails and phone calls in a timely manner. I could not have asked for a better experience.
