Doesn't Answer Questions; Rude, Dangerous:
I have used this office as my vet for years mostly for a lack of better options. I own several species of animals and all-animal vets are hard to find. For years I have paid very large amounts of money to see the vets in these offices and in the past two, as I get more involed in my animal's health, I have been very disappointed. If you are looking for a classic vet to manage your pet's health without consulting you then this is your place... However any time I tried to discuss alternate shot routines, alternative, homeopathic or at-home treatments, even for simple things or say that I did or did not want a certain treatment my words were nearly ignored. I am pursuing a career in veterinary sciences and as the client I feel like some concern should be given to my oppinions for my own animal's care. At one point I even had an animal pass away due to the mistakes of one of the vets at this hospital. A beautiful nine week old puppy I brought in for a health-check. We mentioned it had a bit of a case of the sniffles which was severely dismissed. Not a week later our dog died in my arms in severe suffering from an infection that was wreaking havoc on it's whole body. We were never given any answers as to why our dog checked out as "clean" just days before or why our concerns for it's health were ignored. When I finally decided to cut off my relations with this office because I was told the only appropriate treatment for ear mites (for which there are several alternative, at-home holistic treatments) was antibiotics after expressing that I did NOT want antibiotics at any cost I was sent a rude and insulting e-mail being told that my concern for my animals and interest in natural therapies was "playing doctor". I will suggest to everyone I meet not to meet with these people if they wish to be involved in their pet's health. To have one of my animals die because of their negligence is bad enough. To have my futher concern over their health care isulted and ridiculed is worse.
