The MANN-SLONAKER FUNERAL HOME has a proud heritage of serving the Upper Perkiomen Valley for over 100 years. The original funeral home, once located on Main Street in East Greenville, was founded in the late 1800's by William Dimmig. In 1961 Samuel & Mildred Mann purchased the original funeral home from Owen S. & Jane Hoffman, the first husband and wife team of licensed funeral directors in the area. The Mann's saw a need in the community for a large, more modern funeral home facility. Construction of the present funeral home was completed in 1969. Located in a quiet suburban setting away from the traffic, congestion and danger of Main Street, the present funeral home is a spacious and comfortable environment, offering street level access with ample off-street parking, and a private family conference area for making arrangements, complete with a casket and urn selection room and monument display. In 1981 Sam & Mildred's son-in-law, Carl F. Slonaker, Jr., F.D., and their daughter Sheri (Mann) Slonaker, joined the business and are now the present owners. Under Carl & Sheri's direction the funeral home has continued to serve the Upper Perkiomen Valley community, and as the needs of the community grew, so has the funeral home. In January, 2013 the funeral home opened a brand new, state-of-the-art computer operated Crematory. It is the first and only crematory ever located here in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. In June, 1991 Stephen M. Schofer, F.D. joined the staff and in November, 2012 Aubrey B. O'Byrne, F.D. joined us as a Funeral Director and Pre-Planning Advisor. Today with three full-time licensed funeral directors the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home provides the best professional expertise, care and planning for you and your family. For More Information Please Contact Us
