Buyer beware!! Fraud alert:
BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Mark's Leisure Time Marine or Mark's Leisure Time Marina (Boat Division) of Mark's Truck Center Corp. Do your homework! Take all these reviews seriously as they are real. Do a search on ALL the names above for reviews/complaints about this(these) dealerships owned by Mark Meyer. To make a long story short, Mark's Leisure Time Marine sold me what I thought was a brand new Harris Sunliner Pontoon boat in October 2014 as they had advertised on their website and on Craigslist ads for Syracuse & Rochester as "new" who listed Marty "the boat guy" as the contact info. I paid cash in full in October 2014 and received free storage until spring 2015 with promise of delivery in spring 2015 to which was an ongoing promotion for anyone purchasing a boat in October 2014. Almost 8 months later, now in June 2015, I did not have the boat, they had all of my money, I paid insurance on the boat for 8 months and found out there was damage to the boat to which they did not disclose. Mark's service manager, Zach Meyer (owner's son) and general manager, Ken Dishaw, tried to force me to take delivery on the " brand new" damaged boat and Mark's would pick up the boat and then make repairs once parts come in. Would you do this? This was supposed to be a brand new boat, no issues, no repairs needed. They did not disclose in their ads in October 2014 that they acquired this boat from another dealer, nor the fact this boat needed replacement parts for damaged items. In an email from Zach Meyer, he disclosed to me in June 2015, almost 8 months later that this boat needed the "warranty work" since it arrived that way from the other dealer in October 2014. Funny, the salesperson and dealership never disclosed this in October 2014. The list includes: new pontoon replacement (what?), new docking light bracket (was bent), new changing room bracket (bracket broken), port gate small scratch, starboard gate scratched, rear fence panels scratched with one crease by drivers helm. This is not what I purchased. I never received a phone call or email from owner, Mark Meyer, after many many requests from his contact information to explain all of this and to ask him why. In addition, the dealership salesperson Marty, general manager Ken Dishaw, and service manager Zack Meyer lied to me about every aspect of this transaction. They lied to me about when they would register the boat, when they would register the boat with Harris and Mercury. They lied to me about the damages. They lied to me about delivery. They tried to force me to take a boat that was damaged. They forced me to hire an attorney at my cost to get a refund. After asking for a full refund from the general manager, Ken Dishaw, he blamed me for not taking delivery on this damaged boat for time lost on the boat this summer. After all this dealership put me through (have yet to hear from owner) they forced me to hire an attorney and were bullies about it. The general manager even encouraged me to do so. My attorney and the threat of filing a lawsuit against this dealership was the ONLY way I was able to get a refund for the purchase price of the boat ONLY. It cost me approx. $2500.00 to protect myself from Mark's Leisure Time Marine to which the dealership did not reimburse me for even though they and Harris did not disclose this information. I would NEVER do business with Mark's Leisure Time Marine. Protect yourself and your money, and buy from a different dealer(& manufacturer as they are the only Harris dealers in NYS) so you won't be scammed like I was. Was I treated right? This was FRAUD!!!! They participated in false advertising as well. BUYER BEWARE!
