Tips

What to Drink: Flavored martinis reign at the bar, where sultry concoctions like "flirtinis" consist of vodka, pineapple juice, cointreau and champagne, and are served up with a smoldering cube of dry ice.

Absolute best steakhouse:
I thought that Ruth Chris was the ruler of the steakhouse but I was wrong. I've been to Mastro's here and in Beverly Hills and it was probably the best meal in my life. The steak and the specialty dishes were fantastic. The service was awesome although the ambient light is pretty dark. pretty pricey but worth it if you want the best

Mastro's Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
Located across the street from South Coast Plaza and among the performing arts district's many upscale restaurants, Mastro's shines as one of the OC's best classic cosmopolitan steakhouse experiences. Even though this is a modern place, the main dining room exudes an old-world warmth. In contrast, the dark lounge area is all Vegas, with its wraparound neon mural, low lighting and crowded...

Mastro’s Steakhouse is a nice fit for Costa Mesa’s South Coast Metro district, which includes both South Coast Plaza and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. There’s definitely an old-world warmth in the main dining salon, but the dark lounge area is all Vegas with its wrap-around neon mural, low lighting and crowded tables. The menu almost replicates the steak and seafood offerings...
