Great company with excellent knowledge:
I have purchased my medical equipment from them for years. The service I received is unmatched, the in store associates were great with my lift chair purchase!
Bed Bugs!!!!!:
I know a couple who rented a lift chair from Queen City Med Mart only to find it was infested with bed bugs.... Med Mart assured them that the chair had been "cleaned" prior to delivery, however it was full of bed bugs that later spread to other rooms of their house. This situation has become a serious mess.
To make matters worse, Med Mart has been less than helpful once learning of the infestation. I know that this couple has spent over $1500 thus far to rid themselves of the bed bugs and replace their bed. Med Mart has refused to refund them for ANY money they've spent to get the bugs out of their house and replace their bed stating that they could not prove that the bugs came from the chair. The house was free of bed bugs for 20 years before the chair was delivered The day after the chair was delivered they had bed bugs..... You make the call.
Even more concerning: When Med Mart came to pick up the chair, they loaded into one of their own delivery trucks and carted it off the dumpster (so they say....). Therefore it's possible that the bed bug infestation could have spread to ALL of their equipment opposed to being limited to the lift chair(s). Beware....this is a big problem. I've heard that most of the other local medical equipment rental companies have discontinued renting lift chairs because of issues with bringing bed bugs into customer's homes.
