3 month job took 13 months:
I used Medina construction many times. He redid my kitchen, put in hardwood floors, constructed a patio roof, and many minor projects also.

I trusted him enough to contract him to put a new addition on my house costing enough money that perhaps he can retire. The problem is that a 3 month job took 13 months. In my opinion he has no organizational skills. One time the plumber came for an hour and didn’t come back for 3 weeks. Meanwhile we were waiting for the plumber. Most times there would be a crew of 2 guys and some days I guess the work was so minor that at days end, I had no idea what they had done all day. The project could at least have been done in 6 months if he could have had several jobs going on at the same time like you see on TV. His excuse was that he didn’t want guys running into each other.

Also, the order of things was off. For example, once he did the hardwood floor we had to wait until it dried to do the bathroom tile. Also, all work after that was done with the hardwood floor covered. It’s kind of like doing the hardwood floor and then painting the walls: that type of organized mind.

But the reason I am writing is that now that he has his money, he has not returned many many phone calls over the past month and twice when he did answer the phone he promised up one side and down the other that he is going to fix the leaking shower and the shower plate that was put in upside down. We are now getting another plumber to fix the work and taking him to court.

Even when he hadn’t been paid in full he hardly ever returned phone calls. Some things are understood because subcontractors have other work to do but he doesn’t write anything down and then forgets.

Use this guy only if you have lots of patience and lots of time to blow.
