Menards

I tried making a purchase for $2,700 and it declined. I tried telling the store manager that the bank probably thought it was stolen, and put a freeze on the account. They said they called Mastercard and MC told Menards to cut up the card, and mail it in to them. I pleaded them to call my customer service number on the back of the card so I could confirm it was indeed me using the card and my bank would lift the freeze, but they refused. I had my ID out and everything proving it wasn't stolen, but Menards didn't think about the situation logically. I called my bank and they lifted the freeze, but it was too late, Menards had already destroyed my property.

Now it'll take 2 weeks to get a new card, and my wife's card (that wasn't cut up) won't work during that time period. So this has caused me to have no access to my bank account for 2 weeks until the new cards arrive.
