Job Well Done!:
I brought my 1995 Chevy S-10 into Michigan Motor Exchange for an engine back in July of 2004. Now after ten years and a 100,000 miles of running great I figured they would be the best people to deal with when I needed to have my transfer case replaced. They are good, honest people. Thanks Michigan Motor Exchange on a job well done.

Defective engine:
How can Michigan Motor Exchange claim that their work is done to the highest industry standards, that they have master mechanics doing professional work and claim that customer satisfaction is their number one priority...when they provided me with a defective engine? [cross contamination oil/coolant] How can these professionals miss bulletins on my engine? How can they claim that the oil in the coolant is rust? Family, friends, neighbors, pro mechanics and the State of Michigan all recognized oil in the coolant and the defective workmanship. Michigan Motor Exchange had my truck three times and it was contaminated after each visit. After the third visit, they said that the engine ran fine and sounded fine and attributed the poor performance on everything but themselves. What do you want from a 2.8L engine? Would you want these people to further service your vehicle? I wanted a full refund of $4.500 for quite some time now. One of the owners recently contacted me with an offer to fix an engine that has been contaminated for more than a year now. What would be fixable? They want a fourth chance and he tells me of oversights and bad communication. Really? How can you miss cross contamination when all these pros are doing all of this high quality work? How can you deliver an engine with the coolant reservoir empty and tell the customer that it will not hold ANY LIQUID? It was full of oil/coolant sludge when I got it home. Is this customer satisfaction of the highest priority? I have suffered hardships and misery with this defective product and I guess the "good people" at Michigan Motor Exchange don't think this deserves a full refund. I was quoted a price that went up considerably. I was told that parts were good and the engine was running and sounded great. Then I was told that these parts were not good and it would cost more money. Ooops! I was given a timeline and it ended up with 5 1/2 weeks. I am over $9,000 in debt now because of this mess and I want a full refund for the defective work that you provided...and provided...and provided. I would not recommend them for engine repair. If it happened to me...you might be next. Do some checking before you spend big money. Don't get blinded by the five star reviews, some of which seem to be written by staff and/or owners. That A+ rating with the BBB does not guarantee services you might receive. Check with the State of Michigan...and good luck if you make them your choice.

Great engines!:
I have had two engines from this company, the first had an issue with a bearing, but Chris from the factory corrected the issue quickly and I had a replacement engine in no time. This one is running great with over 150,000 miles!
