My husband had his front right wheel bearing replaced from this company on September of 05. In August of 2007 he went back to this Midas and got his front left wheel bearing replaced. At that time Midas told him the right one they replaced in Sept of O5 needed to be replaced again. We found that unusually because wheel bearing last a long time not just for two years. I decided to take my car to Sears to have them replace the right wheel bearing this was in September of 07. Sears informed me not only did I have to replace the right front wheel bearing I had to replace the left one as well because it was worn out. They said because Midas didn't put the shield on the wheel bearing it wore out and it was no good. There is something wrong when a wheel bearing wears out and is not installed properly by Midas who are suppose to be so called experts. This company refused to give us a refund and the BBB said they dont have to give refunds however, if we give them the old wheel bearing back they would give us a new wheel bearing. What the hell I'm I suppose to do with the part. Also, the owner Dale Mueller also owns several Aaomo's as well as Midas's. He has had plenty of lawsuits against him. He charged us $481.00 for each wheel bearing, thats just for the part (wheel bearing) not installation. He charged us 581.00 for each wheel bearing installed. Now, if you go to some of his other Midas shop he only charges $300.00 for the same wheel bearing part. I'm sure he has the same distributor so why is he charging the citizen's of Downers Grove, Il $181.00 more for this part? A wheel bearing should last more than two years and it should certainly last more than nine weeks. This was a very expensive lesson. Sears however charged us $380 to replace each wheel bearing and they have a lifetime gurantee on the wheel bearing unlike Midas.
