Know Before You Go:
The third Thursday of every month includes food, drink, music and special tours. With new exhibits opening weekly, it could easily become a monthly event for art-lovers.
The Extras:
The 125-year-old MIA unveiled a new Michael Graves-designed wing in 2006 that includes new, modern-art acquisitions and a number of works by celebrated local artists.
