Best in the area:
We travel 40 minutes each way to train at MontCo, and it’s worth it! Our two boys and our girl go there for the high quality of instruction, and the fact that it’s one of the biggest and best-equipped gyms in the area is a bonus. My kids have thanked us for switching them to MontCo :-)

The coaches really care about the kids and put the kids’ interests first. MontCo hires many instructors with strong qualifications--not just young assistants--who give the kids a variety of perspectives to learn from. Lessons are creative and varied, rather than just drilling the compulsory routines for competition. Everybody on the team gets the attention they need to succeed.

MontCo gets results too. Last weekend (March 2013), four MontCo boys (including one of my sons) won all-around PA state championships in their level/age groups, another boy was champion at two events, and yet another was chosen for the state team at regionals. MontCo placed third among all gyms in the state, across all men’s levels, which was actually a disappointment due to three of the older boys being injured. Several other boys won their share of medals, including my other son. My daughter skipped a level, this year, but has won her share of medals, and we’re 6 weeks away from the women’s state championship.

The big news is that MontCo’s Natalie Perri was named Coach of the Year! Furthermore, she is the first woman to earn this title for men’s gymnastics in PA.

I strongly recommend MontCo for both serious training and fun that motivates kids of all abilities! As another bonus, MontCo is air conditioned in the summer.
