2011 we decided to stop doing business with this company. We were quoted a price on 2 hides. Our hides were held hostage for shipping charges that were $400 more than quoted. I have shipped cars out of state for the same. This taxidermist never told us of the increase in charges and held our hide hostage for the extra cash. He could not provide a receipt for a shipping company. We asked him to give us a final invoice for all services provided to date, wrote a check on the spot, and picked up the 15+ hides and horns he had not started. I thought that was the end if it but just last week my father decided to get his hartebeest mounted and looked for the cape. It was not there. He called this taxidermist and ask if he still had it. The response was that he thought he might and would check. He had it, dad went to pick it up and was charged an additional $245. 3 calls to other taxidermists this morning was $75-$120 to tan a Red Hartebeest hide for taxidermy. I cannot recommend this company. Many of my friends have gone elsewhere.
