Beware of motorsport powder coating!:
These guys are CROOKS! I took a Go Cart Frame to them to have it sand blasted. They quoted $30 for the sand blasting. Went in three days later to pick up the frame and the owner tells me the cost is now $50 because there was some "chrome" on the frame and it was contaimating his sand blaster. I told the guy there wasn't any chrome on this frame. You don't need to be a brain surgeon to know the difference between chrome and plain steel. He then said the price went up because the frame was bigger than a normal go cart frame. This frame is pretty well a standard go cart frame so I don't know where he gets that it is larger than normal. He didn't seem to think the frame was oversize when I took it in. Also, a business with "good" ethics would have called me to tell me the price was going to be higher prior to doing the work. Well I wasn't in any position to agrue with the guy as he had my frame. I paid him and left pretty upset. This will be last time I do any business with this company. Keith's Body Shop (next door to Motorsports) recommended this company to me and I am going to be sure and share with Keith's how this guy screwed me. Beware of this company so you don't have the same thing happen to you! I would hate to see what he "upcharges" to powder coat a set of wheels!
