Mr. Appliance told me that there would be no charge to send a tech to look at my fridge. The only charge would be IF I decided not to have them complete the repair. When the tech came, he could not give me an estimate right then. He charged me the $85. I knew I would have the repair done and so I assumed I would get that money back. The following week, Rick, the owner/manager called to tell me the estimate. I mentioned I was no happy I had to pay the fee. But again, I assumed I would get it back. Samsung decided to pay for the parts and labor. When Mr. Appliance called to set up the repair, I inquired about the $85 I had paid. I was told since Samsung is now paying, I will not get the money back. I said that should not matter. Rick got on the phone and told me I was not grateful. He said that he was the one to diagnose the fridge and tell Samsung and he also asked me to call. Then I said I am grateful and he responded, "not $85 grateful." He continued to tell me I was confused. In disbelief at the words he was choosing, I said, "this is not how you talk to a customer." He told me not to lecture him on how to run his business. He told me I lectured him the day before when I brought the fee up. Then he said he refused to do my repair. I am shocked that he is still in business if this is the way he handles a customer concern.
