"This is not a library.":
At least, that's what the jerk who apparently owns this place told me. It was my first time in this store, had been there about 15 minutes just browsing and trying to find something that piqued my interest, and while skimming a book on Swamp Pop, was told that I should buy something because he's "running a business, not a library." Had the sh*thead left me alone for about 5 more minutes before deciding to be an as*hole, I probably would have bought the stupid book. Does he really expect first time customers to run into his store and find something within 15 minutes? There's a lot of dusty old books there and it would take a normal bookstore customer at least an hour to find something new and interesting for them to read there. I don't know where this guy learned his good business practices, but if you're trying to run a business like you say you are, pressuring customers passive-aggressively and just being a general douchebag isn't the way to get new and keep old business. Without a doubt, this is my first time and last time in this bookshop.
