Doesn't Even Deserve One Star:
This particular My Cleaners location sends out a lot of coupons, so I figured I would try them out. The first time I used them they were no different from the rest. However, the second time I brought a much bigger load in - suits, shirts, and pants. I picked up my laundry and once I got home I noticed some tears on the back of four shirts, all in the same location. It looked like someone had stretched the shirts too hard over the ironing board and caused a small tear at the small of the back of my dress shirts.

I took them back the following day. Upon explaining the problem, the lady promptly went into defense mode and accused me of buying cheap shirts. Regardless of whether they were cheap or not (they weren't), I don't recall seeing a sign out front stating: "We won't launder cheap material." After she saw that I was not buying that excuse, she said she would notify the manager and he would call me back. Several weeks later, no call.

I finally went back and asked them about my issue and the owner/manager was there. The owner asked for my last name, checked the tickets (which I obviously wouldn't have one since it was a return from a previous pick-up) and proceeded to tell me they didn't have my clothes. He didn't skip a beat and went straight into defense mode. He told me that my clothes were no longer there and that I probably had the wrong cleaners. He preached to me that he already did inventory and there is no way my garments were in his shop. I assured him that I was 100% sure my clothes were at his cleaners and asked him to check again. He got more "animated" and started belittling me for assuming he made a mistake. The discussion got very heated. After 15 minutes of back and forth, he was trying everything in the book to get me out of his store. I finally told him to at least humor me and go into the back to pretend to make one final attempt to find my clothes. I annunciated my name very clearly and said I would leave once he at least tried to find them. He finally looked up and asked, "Oh, what was your name?" I told him again and he went straight into the back room and came out with my clothes.

He simply put them up on the hook and said, "See, I told you we don't discard or sell clothes that have been here for more than a month." What an idiot! He could have saved all that time by simply listening to his customer, but he chose to fight me for no reason.

I then asked him what he was going to do about my damaged shirts. I showed him the tears and rehashed the story of when I brought them in. He turned defensive again and said his store would not make that kind of mistake and that I brought them in that way. We argued back and forth again for another 15 minutes. The owner kept sarcastically saying "the customer is always right" and then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong. That finally p@!%!d me off. He kept telling me to take him to small claims court and write a letter to the Better Business Bureau, but he was not reimbursing me for the damages.

I can't speak for his overall business practice, but his treatment of customers is pathetic (bordering on criminal). I had no intention of taking him to small claims court, but due to his horrible attitude and complete indifference, I will take him up on that offer and call his bluff. I'm sure he has made that threat to previous customers and they never followed through due to the amount of money involved. I don't plan to be so nice.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DESPICABLE BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!
