Naked Lunch Restaurant Review:
The scattered old books and ancient ceiling fans that alluded to this SoHo bar's namesake---William S. Burroughs' novel, Naked Lunch---may be gone, taking the theme with it, but this one-room bar is one of the best places to quaff a pint of beer or a cocktail in the neighborhood. Buried far below Houston, Naked Lunch is a chic oasis from SoHo's over-stimulated shopping scene for smartly clad...
There's nothing left in Naked Lunch that evokes its namesake--probably for the better--but it has transitioned from a literary bar to a scenester paradise thanks, in large part, to its phenomenal SoHo location.
Cozy bar/lounge in Tribeca feels like a transplant from Chelsea, sans too-strict doors and snarky tude. Small space ideal for an intimate night with close friends or better yet, with strangers. Weekends get hot and sweaty when dance floor is in full swing.
Editorial Review:
This downtown bar and lounge draws a neighborhood crowd, popular for throwing memorable birthday and bridal parties for SoHo hipsters.
