If you want a warm welcome for your child into a life with dance, this is the place:
Warm, supportive, enthusiastic and a great value.
Mrs. Larsen and team share their love of dance and of personal growth in an environment that lets young students learn without fear. My daughter, who started when she was 6, danced and danced without structure or form at home. It was a powerful impulse and we wanted to find a place where she could learn new "vocabulary" in the expressive language of dance.
We looked for a place where that could happen, where a positive experience would build a foundation for a lifetime of dance. Where hard work and commitment are encouraged in a way that resonates with a young child whose interests are still forming. We didn't want a regimented program that would limit her expression too early, but one that would channel her energy over time into whatever her own personal goals would shape up to be.
Found it here, at Nancy Larsen Dance Studios!
The studio is a perfect size and easy to find, but worth it even if it wasn't. It's stocked with all the music and supplies of those who have come here over a lifetime with a love of dance. Which is nice when your daughter misplaces her shoes!
The peer model is a big part of it. Mrs. Larsen always has a young leader join her, someone whom is accomplished yet young enough for the other students to more closely identify with. I love that model. The students get the best of both worlds. And what a great experience for the peer leader - who I hope my daughter will become someday. I also love that Mrs. Larsen has students at all points on the scale, from professional to just playing around. My daughter is exposed to all of that here, and encouraged to reach for her own personal potential.
After a couple years, my daughter still loves to come each week and practice.
Next year, we'll be expanding from ballet into jazz dance, too

We love the small intimate studio!:
We absolutely love Nancy Larsen and her studio. We choose it because of her quick response to my inquiry of her style and teaching methods since my daughter was starting dance at the age of 9. She assured me that she breaks down the dance routines and utilizes student teachers so she can assist the students who need the extra help learning particular steps. I love how she uses the French vocabulary for ballet and it amazes me that my daughter has master them so quickly! She is a patient teacher and her love of dance shows in her choreography. The studio is small but that it is why we find it so comfortable and friendly. Nancy truly cares about her students and the families that support her.
