紐約電影學院是經過NASAD認證的專業電影與表演學院，於中華民國教育部認可之正式學位。提供藝術學士到藝術碩士學位課程。分別有電影製作/電影編劇/電影製作人/電影攝影/攝影/影視演藝/遊戲設計/3D動畫/廣播新聞/音樂舞台劇等專業，於紐約市、洛杉磯以及阿布扎比設校。

最密集實踐的課程：
紐約電影學院提供世界上最密集實踐的課程，通常電影製作工作坊在第一週起就使用器材拍攝。一年當中，學生將自己導演近8部作品，並且工作28部影片製作。

各不同專業之間的合作：
學生不論是導演/ 製作人/ 動畫/ 編劇或是演員課程都可以互相合作，在學校內部就可以找到需要的成員。紐約電影學院鼓勵所有不同專業課程學生之間的合作，同時也舉辦 CASTNYFA 聯合角色徵選，開放在校生與畢業生一起參加，可高達100個電影工作者在現場。
