Lansdowne, just outside West Philly in Delaware County, is growing in notability thanks to its upstart restaurant scene. NoBL ("north of Baltimore and Lansdowne," as in the avenues), a new addition from the chef and owner of local favorite Sycamore, brings a downmarket dinner approach to downtown Lansdowne. The menu is Mediterranean in approach, offering small starters, seafood like crazy (oysters, pan-seared fish of the day, grilled serrano-wrapped shrimp) and grilled flatbreads layered with addictive toppings like guanciale, truffle and wild boar soppressata.
The Sycamore/NoBL team has a presence at the Lansdowne farmers market, where they sell grab-and-go options you can't get at the restaurants.
