North Square Restaurant prides itself on roof-to-table dining with fresh ingredients we grow ourselves. Located on Washington Square Park in our hotel.

The selection of 50 or so wines from around the world is impressively affordable, with a number of bottles weighing in for under $20. Choices by the glass are representative of the list as a whole, and average $8.

Every day between 5pm and 7pm in the back lounge, $12 buys you half a dozen Malpeque oysters and an apple martini.

Although a "favorite" of "NYU profs" and other "Washington Square regulars", this "swell little neighborhood place" mostly flies under the radar; "superior" New American cuisine, "civilized" service and a "grown-up", "comfy" setting where you "can talk without going hoarse" keep it a "neighborhood standby."
